Privacy Policy

Your records, and how your information is handled.

01. About this policy

ISSHU IKEDA (the developer) explains below how information is handled by macaroList, formerly named Todooon. This policy covers the features of macaroList 3.1.0, this website, and our support channel. The information processed depends on the features you use and your operating system settings.

02. Your content and iCloud sync

Tasks, habits and their records, notes, pages, lists, bookmarks, selected images, and settings are stored on your device to provide the app’s features and preserve your content.

If you use iCloud sync, content included in synchronization is also stored in your private iCloud area through Apple’s CloudKit and synchronized between devices using the same iCloud account. The app has no feature that sends this content for advertising. Apple’s handling of iCloud information is also governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

03. Weather and location

If you allow location access, the weather feature obtains your current latitude and longitude from the operating system. Accuracy depends on your operating system settings. Coordinates are sent to Apple’s location services to obtain a place name and to Open-Meteo to obtain weather information.

Open-Meteo also receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. Its published policy states that troubleshooting logs may include coordinates and are retained for 90 days. See Open-Meteo’s Terms & Privacy for details.

You can revoke location permission in your device settings. Features that do not need location remain available without this permission.

04. Links and previews

When the app retrieves or displays a title or thumbnail for a URL you enter, it connects to the linked website or image provider. For YouTube links, the app may send the video URL to Google’s YouTube service to retrieve its title.

The destination receives the requested URL and ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. When you open an external link, the destination’s privacy policy also applies. See the Google Privacy Policy for Google’s practices.

05. Photos, authentication, and notifications

  • Photos: Images you select are imported, stored, and displayed as covers or note content. Images included in iCloud sync are also stored in iCloud.
  • Authentication: Access to locked content uses operating system authentication, such as Face ID or Touch ID. The app receives the authentication result; it does not receive your facial or fingerprint biometric data or your operating system password.
  • Notifications: If permitted, the app displays notifications for schedules, reminders, and similar items you configure. You can control whether notification content appears on the lock screen in your device settings.

06. Purchases and diagnostics

In-app purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store. The app handles information such as products, transactions, purchase entitlements, and expiration dates to provide paid features and restore purchases. The developer does not obtain card numbers or similar payment details through the app.

macaroList 3.1.0 does not include advertising tracking or a separate usage analytics SDK. Firebase Crashlytics transmission is not enabled. Operating system diagnostic sharing is governed by Apple and your device settings.

07. Contacting support

Support uses Google Forms. We use the email address, message, and other information you choose to provide to reply, investigate issues, and provide support. Google’s processing of form information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Support information is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and deleted when no longer needed, unless a legal retention obligation or a need to address a dispute requires longer retention. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided to support.

08. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Your app content is generally retained until you delete it. You can delete unwanted content using the app’s deletion features. When iCloud sync is in use, deletion is also synchronized. Disabling sync and deleting data already stored in iCloud are separate actions.

Use the app and operating system settings to manage device and iCloud data and permissions for photos, location, and notifications. Removing the app does not necessarily remove iCloud data or backups. If you have made copies or exported files, also remove them from their separate storage locations.

Retention and deletion of information managed by Apple, Google, Open-Meteo, and other service providers follow their respective policies and controls. Contact support if you need help finding the relevant controls.

09. This website and external services

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. We have not installed analytics scripts, advertising, or cookie-based features on the site. However, GitHub processes access information, such as IP addresses, for security and hosting purposes. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

The developer does not disclose information received through support to third parties except as needed to provide the features described here, handle support, or meet legal requirements. External providers process information under their own policies, and processing may take place outside your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its revision date when features or information handling change. Where appropriate, important changes will also be announced in the app or through another suitable channel.
